Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting and Introduction of Loading/Unloading Only Bay: The Crescent, Salford Order 2006

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1,2,4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area)(City of Salford) Order 2002 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the order comes into effect the The Greater Manchester County (Crescent and University Underpass, Salford) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (County) Order 1982 will be revoked insofar as it relates to schedule 1 below.

When the order comes into effect you will only be allowed to load or unload between 7.00am to 7.00pm on the lengths of road specified in schedule 2 below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford M27 5DA between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Monday to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Head of Law and Administration, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by the 22 June 2006 (quoting reference H/HLU/RTO/PD/02159)

Crescent A6, south side, from the westerly side of the eastern access road to the Crescent House car park for a distance of 70 metres in a north westerly direction.

LOADING/UNLOADING ONLY 7.00AM TO 7.00PM

Crescent A6, south side, from a point 63 metres south east of its junction with Irwell Place in a south easterly direction for a distance of 60 metres.
