The Mall Shopping Centre, Eccles Gating Order 2007
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Section 129A of the Highways Act 1980.
When the order comes into effect the public right of way over the highways specified in the schedule below and shown on the plan annexed to the draft order shall be restricted from 8.30pm to 7.30am when the retail units are not trading.
The right of way will not be restricted for use by the occupiers of premises adjoining or adjacent to the relevant highways.
The council are satisfied that it is expedient to make an order for the purposes of reducing crime or anti-social behaviour on the highway.
The alternative route for members of the public will be via Church Street, John William Street, Albert Street, Southway or the reverse.
A copy of the proposed order together with a plan outlining the restrictions and evidence supporting the need for the order may by inspected at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

Pedestrian access will be restricted at the following entrances:
- Between 56 and 58 Church Street
- Outside of 8 Boothway
- Outside of 40 The Mall
- Adjacent to 10 The Mall.
