Worsley Definitive Footpath 31

Diversion Order 2009

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford (hereinafter referred to as "the council") made the above mentioned order (hereinafter referred to as "the order") on 18 September 2009. The effect of the order will be to divert the public footpath as shown on the plan annexed to the order and described in the schedule below.

A copy of the order and the plan annexed to it has been deposited and may be inspected/obtained free of charge at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Swinton, M27 5DA, between the hours of 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. View details of this notice.

Any representation or objection with respect to the order may be sent in writing to the City Solicitor, C/o The Litigation Team (quoting reference G/UV/STC/ME/145) at the abovementioned address before 22 October 2009 and should state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the council may confirm the order itself instead of submitting it to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any representation or objection that has been duly made and not withdrawn will be transmitted with the order.

Schedule

Part I

Description of Site of Existing Path or Way

The diversion of the entire width of the footpath known as Worsley Definitive Footpath 31 from point 'D' in a south easterly direction for approximately 43.45 metres to point 'E' then in a north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 110.16 metres to point 'F', the width of the footpath being undefined, as shown by a broken black line on the plan attached to the Order.

Part II

Description of Site of Alternative Footpath

The creation of an alternative footpath from point 'D' for a distance of approximately 33.91 metres in a north westerly direction then in a north easterly direction for a distance of approximately 57.57 metres then in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 92.51 metres and then in a north easterly direction for approximately 5.35 metres to point 'F', the width of such new footpath being 1.8 metres, as shown by  a solid black line on the plan attached to the Order by a solid black line.
