Prohibition of Waiting and Introduction of Limited Waiting: Wellington Street, Salford Order 2006
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001 No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.
When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait during the times on the length of road specified in schedule 1 below.
When the order comes into effect limited waiting will be introduced on the length of road specified in schedule 2 below.
The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Assistant Director (Legal), Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA by the 21 December 2006 (quoting reference H/RC/RTO/PD/02459).
Schedule 1
Introduction of no waiting Monday to Friday 8.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
Wellington Street, north side, from a point 15 metres east of the eastern kerbline of Mount Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 45 metres.
Schedule 2
Introduction of limited waiting
Monday to Friday 8.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. - 2 hours no return within 1 hour.
Wellington Street, north side, from a point 15 metres west of the western kerbline of St. Stephen Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 45 metres.
