Experimental and Temporary Amendment of Prohibition of Waiting: Willows Rugby Ground Area, Salford Order 2007

Nituce is hereby given that on 20 April 2007 the council of the city of Salford made the abovementioned order under Sections 1, 2, 3 and 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order which comes into effect on the 4 May 2007 will introduce a prohibition of waiting along the length of road specified in schedule 'A' below for a period of 18 months.

The order which comes into effect on the 4 May 2007 will temporarily amend The City of Salford (Weaste Lane and Edward Avenue, Salford 6) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1990 as per schedule 'B' below for a period of 18 months.

A copy of the order, together with a plan showing the area affected may be examined at the  Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

The council of the city of Salford will consider in due course whether the provisions of that order should be continued in force indefinitely.  You may object to this within six months from 3 May 2007 by stating the grounds of the objection in writing to the Assistant Director (Legal), Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA (quoting reference H/RC/SM/RTO/PD/02682).

Introduction of:

18 Month Experimental Order

No Waiting Friday 6 - 9 p.m., Sunday 1-4 p.m., Saturday and Bank Holidays 1- 9 p.m.

  • Weaste Road, east side, from  a point 25 metres south of Weaste Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 64 metres.
  • Liverpool Street, north side, from the eastern kerbline of Weaste Lane in an easterly direction for a distance of 48 metres.
  • Weaste Lane, east side, from the northern kerbline of Liverpool Street in a northerly direction to the southern kerbline of Chandos Grove.
  • Weaste Lane, west side, from a point 15 metres north west of the northerly kerbline of Edward Avenue to a point 15 metres south east of the southern kerbline of Princeton Close.
  • Tootal Road, north side, from the western kerbline of Lords Avenue in a westerly direction to the eastern kerbline of Kennedy Road.
  • Kennedy Road, east side, from the northern kerbline of Tootal Road in a northerly direction to the southern kerbline of Willows Road.
  • Edward Avenue, north side, from a point opposite the eastern kerbline of Hathersage Avenue in a westerly direction to a point opposite the eastern kerbline of Wortley Avenue.

Amendment of

The City of Salford (Weaste Lane and Edward Avenue, Salford 6) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1990.

Insofar as it relates to:

  • Edward Avenue, both sides, from the westerly direction of Weaste Lane in a westerly direction for a distance of 5 metres.

To read:

  • Edward Avenue, both sides, from the western kerbline of Weaste Lane in a westerly direction to the eastern kerbline of Hathersage Avenue.
