Off-street parking places and car parks with disabled spaces: Worsley Court House Order 2007

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 32(1), 33(4), 35(1), 35(3) and 63A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001 No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the order comes into effect any vehicle left during the hours of 8.00am and 8.00pm, Monday to Friday, on the designated off-street parking places specified in schedule 1 shall be subject to a charge, such amount to be displayed on site.

When the order comes into effect disabled persons parking places (disabled persons badge holders only) will be provided as specified in schedule 2 to this notice.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council’s reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the City Solicitor, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA by the 13 December 2007 (quoting reference H/LH/PD/RTO/2931).

Schedule 1

Introduction of charges for any vehicle waiting for a period exceeding 30 minutes

  • Worsley Court House car park, off Barton Road, Worsley.

Schedule 2

Introduction of Disabled Persons Parking Places

  • Worsley Court House car park.

Approximately 10% of spaces will be allocated for disabled persons parking.
