Gating Order 2006
On 8 December 2006 the council of the city of Salford made the above-mentioned order, made under Section 129A of the Highways Act 1980.
The order which came into effect on the 15 December 2006 restricts the public right of way over the highways specified in the schedule below at all times.
The right of way is not restricted for use by the occupiers of premises adjoining or adjacent to the relevant highways. Occupiers retain their right of way by access to keys to the lockable gates.
The alternative route for members of the public will be via the pavements to the front of all properties affected.
A copy of the order together with a plan outlining the restrictions may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton between the hours 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive. Details can also be viewed online. Plan reference (H/ME/HS/SEO/8578)
If you wish to question the validity of the order or any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Highways Act 1980 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the order you may within 6 weeks from the 14 December 2006 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Alleyway to the rear of 197-251 Littleton Road and 1-55 Mackenzie Road and to the side of 1 and 3 Ayrshire Road, 223 and 225 Littleton Road and 25 and 27 Mackenzie Road, Salford, marked ‘A' on the plan attached to the Order.
A total closure area of 627 square metres.
Alleyway to the rear of 2-50 Mackenzie Road, 1-45 Hafton Road and to the side of 5 and 7 Ayrshire Road and 23 and 25 Hafton Road and 28 and 40 Manchester Road, marked ‘B' on the plan attached to the order.
A total closure area of 526 square meters.
