How's my train running is a local, 24 hour automated service which has up-to-date information about the next train departures and any delays from a specific station.

Local Station Adoption Scheme

By adopting a local train station the community adds value to what is already there and can improve the station to make it feel more welcoming and attractive. Local station adoption groups in Salford include Friends of Eccles Station, Friends of Irlam StationFriends of Patricroft Station and Friends of Walkden Station.

New Sunday services on the Atherton rail line

A new train service runs every hour between Wigan and Manchester via Atherton, stopping at Walkden, Moorside, Swinton, Salford Crescent and Manchester Victoria Station. Full Atherton Sunday service details and the route are available.
