Amendment of controlled parking zone and amendment of prohibition of waiting and one way traffic Order 2010

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 19, 32, 35, 35a, 45, 46, 49, 51, 53 and Part IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area)(City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No 894).

When the order comes into effect Schedule 1 part 1 of The City of Salford (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2002 will be amended as detailed in schedule A below.

When the order comes into effect Schedule 2 part 1 of The City of Salford (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2002 will be amended as detailed in schedule B below.

When the order comes into effect Schedule 2 part 2 of The City of Salford (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2002 will be amended to include the lengths of roads as detailed in schedule C below.

When the order comes into effect Schedule 3 of The City of Salford (Parking Places and Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2002 will be amended to include the lengths of roads as detailed in schedule D below.

When the order comes into effect The City of Salford (Manchester and Salford inner relief route stage 2 Blackfriars Road to Gore Street section) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1988 will be amended as detailed in schedule E below.

When the order comes into effect The City of Salford (Manchester and Salford inner relief route stage 2 Blackfriars Road to Gore Street section) (One Way Traffic) Order 1988 will be amended as detailed in schedule F below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Director of Engineering, Traffic Management and Control, 4th Floor, Emerson House, Albert Street, Eccles, M30 0TE by the 12 July 2010 (quoting reference TRO 1582).

Schedule 1 Part 1 (Pay and display bays)

S5 - delete

All that part of the west side of Bury Street, Salford which is bounded on the west by so much of the edge of the carriageway of that highway as extends from a point 14.2 metres south east of the north western kerbline of Cross Street south eastwards for a distance of 40 metres and which has a width throughout of 1.8 metres. 7 bays.

Will be replaced with:

All that part of the west side of Bury Street, Salford which is bounded on the west by so much of the edge of the carriageway of that highway as extends from a point 38 metres north west of the north western kerbline of Cross Street north westwards for a distance of 42 metres and which has a width throughout of 1.8 metres. 7 bays.

Schedule B

Schedule 2 Part 1 (No waiting 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday and 8.00am to 12.30pm Saturday)

Will be amended to include:

William Street from Bury Street to its cul-de-sac end.
Crown Street.
Bury Street from Cross Street to Crown Street.
Cross Street.
John Street.
Garden Lane.

Delete:

Bury Street, from Chapel Street to the south eastern kerbline of Cross Street.
