Edmund Street Area, Seedley, Salford Special Extinguishment Order 2004, Highways Act 1980, Section 118B

Notice is hereby given that the council of the City of Salford (“the council”) made the abovementioned order (“the order”) on 15 October, 2004, under Section 118B of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order will be to extinguish the right of way over the land situated at Edmund Street, Seedley, Salford, as specified in the schedule below and shown on the plan annexed to the order.

The order is required for the purposes of preventing or reducing crime which would otherwise disrupt the life of the community.

A copy of the order and the plan annexed to it may be inspected free of charge at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. Salford Civic Centre is fully accessible for people with physical disabilities.

Copies of the order may be obtained at a reasonable charge.

Any representation or objection to the order may be sent in writing to the Head of Law and Administration, (quoting reference H/JLW/PD/SEO/1248) at the abovementioned address before 18 November, 2004 and should state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the council may confirm the order itself instead of submitting it to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any representation or objection that has been duly made and not withdrawn will be transmitted with the order.

1. Alleyway at the rear of 1-29 Edmund Street and 2-32 Nadine Street and rear of 245-255 Langworthy Road, Salford.
2. Alleyway at the rear of 31-57 Edmund Street and 2-32 Alpha Street West and rear of 3-11 Seedley Park Road, Salford.
3. Aleyway at the rear of 34-44 Edmund Street and rear of 93-115 Lower Seedley Road, Salford.
