Amendment of prohibition of waiting restrictions and introduction of new prohibition of waiting restrictions: Great George Street, Salford Order 2005
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.
When the order comes into effect schedule one of The City of Salford (St. Phillip's Church) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1969 will be amended insofar as it relates to schedule 1 below.
When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait on the length of road specified in schedule 2 below.
The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
A copy of the proposed order, together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order, may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
Amend:
The west side of Great George Street, on the east side for 51 yards from Chapel Street in a northerly direction and for 5 yards from Cleminson Street in a southerly direction.
To read:
Great George Street west side from a point 44 metres north of Chapel Street to Cleminson Street.
Great George Street east side from Cleminson Street for a distance of 4.5 metres in a southerly direction.

NO WAITING AT ANY TIME
Great George Street west side from Chapel Street for a distance of 38 metres in a northerly direction.
Great George Street east side from Chapel Street for a distance of 46 metres in a northerly direction.
