Public Path Creation: Hamilton Gardens, Salford 8 Order 2006

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford ("the council") made the abovementioned order ("the order") on 28 April 2006, under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of the order will be to create a public footpath(s) at Hamilton Gardens, Salford 8, as specified in the schedule below and shown on the plan attached to the order.

A copy of the order and the plan annexed to it may be inspected free of charge at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton M27 5DA between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.  Copies of the order may be obtained at a reasonable charge.

Any representations or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the City Solicitor, (quoting reference H/ME/PD/FCL/2216) at the abovementioned address before 1 June 2006 and should state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the council may confirm the order as an unopposed order.  If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.

Schedule

(Description of land)

1.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of width no less than 2 metres running from the points marked A and B between 47 St. Brelades Drive and 54 St. Helier's Drive in a north westerly direction for a distance of approximately 35 metres to the point marked C on Thomas Street, and shown by the broken black line marked A-C on the map attached to the Order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 19'.

2.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of a width no less than 1.7 metres running from the point marked D in front of 25 St. Asaph's Drive in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 69 metres to where it ends at point E outside 8 St. Asaph's Drive, and shown by a broken black line marked D - E on the map attached to the order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 20'.

3.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of a width no less than 1.7 metres running from the point marked F on Bank Street in an easterly then south-easterly direction for a distance of approximately 123 metres where it ends at point G next to 42 St. Kilda's Drive and shown by a broken black line marked F - G on the map attached to the order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 21'.

4.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of a width no less than 1.7 metres running from the point marked H on St. Kilda's Drive in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 90 metres before terminating at the point marked I outside 21 St. Kilda's Drive and shown by a broken black line marked H - I on the map attached to the order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 22'.

5.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of a width no less than 3.5 metres running from the point marked J next to 2 St. Helier's Drive for a distance of approximately 84 metres in a north easterly direction onto St. Mark's Lane and terminating at the point marked K, the junction with Bury Old Road and shown by a broken line marked J - K on the plan attached to the order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 23'.

6.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of a width no less than 2 metres running from point marked L next to 30 St. Martins Drive in a southerly then south easterly direction to the rear of Japan Street for a total distance of 135 metres and then terminating at the point marked M next to 4 Japan Street and shown by a broken line marked L - M on the plan attached to the order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 24'.

7.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of a width no less than 2 metres running from the point marked N which leaves Footpath 24 next to 12 St. Martin's Drive in a southerly direction before going down some steps for a distance of approximately 25 metres before rejoining Footpath 24 at point marked O, and shown by a broken black line marked N - O on the plan attached to the order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 25'.

8.A public footpath, that is a path over which the public have a right of way on foot only, of a width no less than 1.7 metres which leaves Footpath 24 at the point marked point P and which runs in front of 1 St. Kilda's Drive in a north easterly direction for approximately 24 metres to point Q, shown by a broken black line marked P - Q on the plan attached to the order, the footpath to be known as 'Salford 26'.
