Temporary prohibition of driving and temporary prohibition of left and right manoeuvres, Salford order 2004
Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit driving as detailed in schedule ‘A’ below and temporarily prohibit left and right manoeuvres as detailed in schedule ‘B’ below.
The order is required to facilitate the switch over of the contra flow working onto the Northbound carriageway of the new dual carriageway of the Manchester and Salford Inner Relief Route between Irwell Street and Chapel Street and for the construction of the next phase of the works at the new signalised junction and will commence as detailed in the Schedules below.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Trinity Way - Hampson Street - Middlewood Street - Oldfield Road - Chapel Street - New Bailey Street - Bridge Street - Deansgate - Quay Street - New Quay Street as required.
Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between 8.30am and 4.30pm. (Ref H/PP/SM/C/PD/RTT/01238).

Saturday the 14 August and Sunday 15 August 2004
- Temporary Prohibition of Driving Irwell Street from its junction with Chapel Street to its junction with Trinity Way.
Schedule B
Sunday the 15 August 2004 until 30 September 2004
- Prohibition of Right Turn from Trinity Way to Irwell Street.
- Prohibition of Left Turn from Irwell Street to Trinity Way.
