Langworthy Road, Salford (Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting and introduction of new Prohibition of Waiting)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Salford City Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the Order comes into effect  The Greater Manchester County (Langworthy Road and Liverpool Street, Salford) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (County) Order 1984 will be revoked insofar as it relates to Schedule 1 below.

When the Order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time on the length of road specified in Schedule 2 below.

The Order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan of the area and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds of your objection, in writing, to the Head of Law and Administration, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, by the 16th day of October 2003 (quoting reference H/ECP14/RTO)

Schedule 2 - no waiting 7.30am to 6.30pm mon to sat

Insofar as it relates to:

Langworthy Road, west side, from the southern kerbline of Amos Street in a southerly direction to a point 18 metres south of the southern kerbline of Greenland Street

Revocation of Schedule 3 - limited waiting 1 hr no return within 2 hrs 7.30 am to 630 pm mon to sat

Insofar as it relates to:

Langworthy Road, east side, from the southern kerbline of Jubilee Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 93 metres

Amendment to Schedule 2

Add:

Langworthy Road, east side, from a point 7 metres south of the southern kerbline of Jubilee Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 87 metres

Amendment To: Schedule 3

Add:

Langworthy Road, west side, from a point 4 metres south of the southern kerbline of Amos Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 13 metres and from a point 41 metres south of the southern kerbline of Amos Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 37 metres

Schedule 2

Langworthy Road, west side, from a point 4 metres south of the southern kerbline of Amos Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 4 metres

Langworthy Road, west side, from a point 17 metres south of the southern kerbline of Amos Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 28 metres

Langworthy Road, west side, from a point 18 metres south of the southern kerbline of Greenland Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 33 metres

Langworthy Road, east side, from a point 7 metres south of the southern kerbline of Jubilee Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 3 metres
