Market Street/Hampson Street, Pendlebury, Swinton, Salford (revocation of prohibition of waiting and introduction of new prohibition of waiting and revocation of peak hour loading/unloading restrictions)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Salford propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.
When the Order comes into effect The City of Salford (Pendlebury Road, Swinton) (Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting and Introduction of New Prohibition of Waiting and Peak Hour Loading/Unloading Restrictions) Order 1997 Amendment Order 1997 will be revoked insofar as it relates to Schedule 1 below.
When the Order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time nor to load/unload on the lengths of road specified in Schedule 2 below.
The Order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons’ vehicles.
A copy of the proposed Order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.
If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Head of Law and Administration, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA by the 27th day of November 2003 (quoting reference H/PP/SM/C/PD/RTO/00785).

Revoke the following sections of Schedule 2
1)No waiting Monday to Saturday 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Market Street - both sides - from Bolton Road for its entire length
Hampson Street - both sides - from Market Street to Pendlebury Road
Service Road - both sides - from Market Street to Bolton Road
2)No loading or unloading Monday to Saturday 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
Hampson Street - south side - from Market Street to Pendlebury Road
Market Street - west side - for its full length
Service Road - both sides - from Market Street to Bolton Road
SCHEDULE 2
1)No waiting at any time - Market Street - both sides - from the junction with Bolton Road.
2)No waiting at any time - Hampson Street - both sides - from the junction with the southern kerb of Market Street in a south easterly direction for a distance of 12 metres.
3)No loading or unloading Hampson Street - south side - from Market Street to Pendlebury Road Market Street - west side - for its full length
