North George Street, Salford Experimental Prohibition of Waiting, Order 2004

Notice is hereby given that on 28 May 2004 the council of the city of Salford made the abovementioned order under Sections 1, 2, 3 and 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984.

The order which comes into effect on 11 June 2004 prohibits waiting from Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 6.00 pm along the length of road specified in the schedule below for a period of 12 months.

A copy of the order, together with a plan showing the area affected may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

The council of the city of Salford will consider in due course whether the provisions of that order should be continued in force indefinitely.  You may object to this within six months from 11 June 2004 by stating the grounds of the objection in writing to the Head of Law and Administration, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA (quoting reference H/ECP/SM/PD/RTO/1133).

North George Street, Salford

  • Eastern side from the junction with the northerly kerbline of Mayan Avenue to the junction with Silk Street.
  • Western side from the junction with the northerly kerbline of Peru Street for a distance of 15m in a northerly direction.
  • Western side from the junction with the southerly kerbline of Cannon Street for a distance of 15m in a southerly direction.
  • Western side from the junction with the northerly kerbline of Cannon Street for a distance of 15m in a northerly direction.
  • Western side from the junction with the southerly kerbline of Silk Street for a distance of 15m in a southerly direction.

Cannon Street

  • North side from the junction with the easterly kerbline of North George Street for adistance of 10m in an easterly direction.
  • North side from the junction with the westerly kerbline of North George Street for a distance of 10m in a westerly direction.
  • South side from the junction with the easterly kerbline of North George Street for a distance of 10m in an easterly direction.
  • South side from the junction with the westerly kerbline of North George Street for a distance of 10m in a westerly direction.
