Northumberland Street, Salford (Various Orders, Amendments)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Salford City Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 , 4 and Section 27, Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area)(City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001 No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the Order comes into effect various Orders in respect of Northumberland Street, Salford will be amended as detailed in the Schedules below.

The Order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed Order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds of your objection in writing to the Head of Law and Administration, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA by 20th February 2003 (quoting reference H/HLU/C/PD/RTO/223).

SCHEDULE 1

The City of Salford (Northumberland Street, Salford)(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1997 be amended as follows:

Introduction Of No Waiting At Any Time

Northumberland Street, north side, from a point 15 metres west of the junction with Legh Street for a distance of 60 metres in a westerly direction be removed from the schedule thereto.

SCHEDULE 2

The City of Salford (Legh Street and Northumberland Street, North Side, from a point 15 metres west of the junction with Legh Street and Northumberland Street, Salford 7)(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1992 be amended as follows:

Introduction Of No Waiting At Any Time

From:

Northumberland Street, north west side, from a point 15 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of Legh Street in a north easterly direction to a point 15 metres north east of the north easterly kerbline of Legh Street

To:

Northumberland Street, north west side, from a point 12 metres south west of the south westerly kerbline of Legh Street in a north easterly direction to a point 15 metres north east of the north easterly kerbline of Legh Street

SCHEDULE 3

The City of Salford (Northumberland Street, Salford)(Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting and Introduction of New Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1997 be amended as follows:

Introduction Of No Waiting At Any Time

From:

Northumberland Street, south east side from the north easterly kerbline of Rigby Street for a distance of 57 metres in a north easterly direction

To:

Northumberland Street, south east side from the north easterly kerbline of Rigby Street for a distance of 72 metres in a north easterly direction
