Peel Green Road, Eccles (Restriction of Waiting Order)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Salford City Council propose to make an Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the Order comes into effect (The Borough of Eccles, Peel Green Road) (Restriction of Waiting) Order 1972 will be amended as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

Save as provided in Article 2 of this Order no person, shall, except upon the direction or with the permission of a police constable or parking attendant in uniform, cause or permit any vehicle to wait between the hours of 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays on the north side of Peel Green Road, Eccles in that length which extends from its junction with Edison Road to a point 20 metres west of its junction with Higher Croft.

The Order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed Order, together with a plan of the area and a statement of the Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send the grounds of your objection, in writing, to the Head of Law and Administration, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, by the 26th day of June 2003 (quoting reference H/PP/C/PD/RTO/240).
