Pendlebury Road and Boundary Road, Swinton Revocation of Prohibition of Waiting and Introduction of New Prohibition of Waiting Order 2004

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (city of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the order comes into effect The city of Salford (Pendlebury Road, Swinton) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2003 *will be revoked insofar as it relates to schedule 1 below.

When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time on the length of road specified in schedule 2 below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order, together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order, may be examined at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to object to the proposed order you should send the grounds of your objection, in writing, to the Head of Law and Administration, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, by the 14 October 2004 (quoting reference H/H/ECP/PD/RTO/1334)

*Schedule 1

  • Pendlebury Road, west side, from a point 169 metres east of its junction with Swinton Hall Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 74 metres.
  • Boundary Road, both sides, from its junction with Pendlebury road for a distance of 24 metres.

Schedule 2

  • Pendlebury road, west side, from a point 169 metres east of its junction with Swinton Hall Road in a north easterly direction for a distance of 74 metres.
  • Boundary Road, north side, from the western kerbline of Pendlebury Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 274 metres.
  • Boundary Road, south side, from the western kerbline of Pendlebury Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 43 metres.
  • Boundary Road, south side, from a point 60 metres west of the western kerbline of Pendlebury Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 26 metres.
  • Boundary Road, south side, from a point 128 metres west of the western kerbline of Pendlebury Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 125 metres.
