Public Footpath No. 55, Swinton and Pendlebury, Diversion Order 2004

Notice is hereby given that the council of the City of Salford (hereinafter referred to as "the council") made the above mentioned order (hereinafter referred to as "the order") on 5 November 2004.  The effect of the order will be to divert the public footpath described in schedule 1 below and to create an alternative footpath as described in schedule 2 below and as shown on the plan annexed to the order.

A copy of the order and the plan annexed to it has been deposited and may be inspected free of charge at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA between the hours of 8.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.  Copies of the order may be obtained at a reasonable charge.

Any representation or objection with respect to the order may be sent in writing to the Head of Law and Administration (quoting reference H/JLW/PD/FCL/1288) at the abovementioned address before 9 December 2004 and should state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the council may confirm the order itself instead of submitting it to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation.  If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for confirmation, any representation or objection that has been duly made and not withdrawn will be transmitted with the order.

Schedule 1

The diversion of Public Footpath No. 55, Swinton and Pendlebury from the point marked B to D on the plan attached to the order, a length of 188 metres and width of 2 metres.

Schedule 2

The creation of a new public footpath from the point marked B to C to D on the plan attached to the order, a length of 392 metres and width of 2 metres.
