Prohibition of Waiting Order: Verdant Lane Area, Eccles Order 2006

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford propose to make an order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and by virtue of The Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001 No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

When the order comes into effect you will not be allowed to cause or permit any vehicle to wait at any time on the length of road as specified in schedule 1 below and between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm on the length of road as specified in schedule 2 below.

The order will contain exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the proposed order together with a plan of the area and a statement of the council's reasons for proposing to make the order may be examined at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

Schedule 1

INTRODUCTION OF NO WAITING AT ANY TIME

Verdant Lane:

East side from its junction with Brookhouse Avenue in a southerly and westerly direction to its junction with Trippier Road.
West side from its junction with Brookhouse Avenue in a southerly and westerly direction for a distance of 65m.
North side from a point 200m south west of its junction with Brookhouse Avenue in a westerly and south westerly direction for a distance of 55m.
North side from its junction with Trippier Road in an easterly and north easterly direction for a distance of 57m.

Trippier Road:

South side from its junction with Verdant Lane in a westerly direction to a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of Buckthorn Lane.
North side from the western kerbline of Robinia Close to a point 10m north of the northern kerbline of Buckthorn Lane.

Schedule 2

INTRODUCTION OF NO WAITING 8.00AM - 5.00PM

Northfleet Road:

West side from its junction with Foxhill Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 60m.
West side from a point 80m south of the southern kerbline of Foxhill Road in a southerly direction for a distance of 46m
East side from its junction with Brookhouse Avenue in a southerly direction for a distance of 195m.
