Wilfred Road, Walkden, Prohibition of Waiting Order 2004

On the 27 August 2004 the council of the city of Salford, made the abovementioned Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 and by virtue of the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (City of Salford) Order 2001 (Statutory Instrument 2001, No. 894) made by the Secretary of State for Environment, Transport and the Regions, pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1991.

The order which will come into effect on 10 September 2004 prohibits any person to cause or permit  any vehicle to wait at any time on the length of road specified in the schedule below.

The order contains exceptions to permit waiting for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.

A copy of the order and a map showing the length of road affected are available for inspection at the Legal Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays inclusive.

If you wish to question the validity of the order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the order you may within six weeks from 9 September  2004 apply to the High Court for this purpose.

Schedule

Wilfred Road, both sides, from the eastern kerbline of Bridgewater Road, in an easterly direction for a distance of 5 metres.

Bridgewater Road, east side, from a point 10 metres south of the southern kerbline of Wilfred Road in a northerly direction to a point 10 metres north of the northern kerbline of Wilfred Road.
