Salford Twin Towns - Narbonne

How you can be involved:

The Salford-Narbonne Twinning Committee meets on the second Tuesday bi-monthly in the meeting room at Morrisons, Eccles, commencing at 6.45pm. The meetings are open to all who want to contribute to town twinning in Salford.

In the meetings of the town twinning forum, the Salford-Narbonne Association members are: Steve Fletcher, Peter Dempsey, and Councillor Lancaster.

Exchanges:

In June 2007 the 50 year celebrations of twinning between Salford and Narbonne took place. Visitors from Narbonne came over to Salford and a full and varied programme of events took place.

Newly created gardens in Eccles was designed to celebrate the Salford - Narbonne 50th anniversary. The gardens take inspiration from the history and architecture of Narbonne and place them in the heart of Eccles - the original home of the Salford and Narbonne twinning association.
