Temporary Weight Restriction: Bridge Street Bridge Swinton Order 2007

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be a temporary weight restriction on Bridge Street, Swinton in accordance with the schedule below.  Maximum gross weight 7.5 tonne with licensed dispensation for buses and emergency vehicles.

The order is required to protect a weak bridge until remedial works are carried out to strengthen the structure and will commence on 7 March 2007 for a period of two years until 7 March 2009.  The alternative route for vehicles will be via Bolton Road and Swinton Hall Road.

Plans showing the areas affected by the proposed order may be inspected at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, Salford, M27 5DA during normal office hours.  (Ref: H/LH/PD/RTT/2604).
