Temporary Weight Restriction: Oldfield Road Bridge (MVE 1/5) Salford Order 2007

Notice is hereby given that the council of the city of Salford intend in not less than seven days to make an order the effect of which will be a temporary weight restriction in accordance with the schedule below.  Maximum gross weight 7.5 tonne with licensed dispensation for buses and emergency vehicles.

The order is required to protect a weak bridge until remedial works are carried out to strengthen the structure and will commence on 7 March 2007 for a period of two years until 7 March 2009.  The alternative route for vehicles will be via Chapel Street – Trinity Way – Hampson Street – Middlewood Street.

Oldfield Road, Salford from a point 228 metres south of the junction of Chapel Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 50 metres.
