Property Services

RICS

Property Services are responsible for the provision of a comprehensive property advice to service to clients. Traditionally this has been mainly Salford City Council and Greater Manchester Police Authority (GMPA), although increasing amounts of work are now being undertaken for other public sector and private clients. It is expected that this will continue as the Business Unit grows and that further private sector work will also be targeted and pursued.

The principal areas of activity include:

  • Regeneration and Development advice
  • Acquisitions and Disposals
  • Property Management
  • Compulsory Purchase and Compensation
  • Rating
  • Asset Management
  • Property Records and associated Administration

The Property Services Team is comprised of 48 members of staff of which 17 are qualified members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The team is organised under three main groups (Regeneration, Property Management, Housing & Assets ) but work on a very flexible basis so that resources can be deployed as required to meet work demands. This arrangement also assists with the training of graduates and other staff members as part of the ongoing career development process.

The Property Services team have an excellent track record in the delivery of services to its traditional clients, Salford City Council and GMPA. Following the establishment of Urban Vision, Property Services are now in a position where it can apply its experience and skills in the wider marketplace for both public and private sector clients and the team are very much up for this challenge. We believe that we have a somewhat unique position, being a Company with a traditional public sector background with the experience and skills that this brings, and having the ability to offer those skills in order to meet client's requirements.
