Vote Joe, vote Salford

Joe - She's a winner!
Salford's very own Joe (Joanne) Butterworth is feeling on top of the world after winning the prestigious Local Government Council Worker of the Year Award - working with children. Council staff from around the country were nominated and the competition was tough, so thank you to everybody who voted for Joe to ensure she got the recognition she deserved.
Joe, a therapeutic social worker, was Salford City Council's employee of the year in 2009 in our Sparkle awards. Committed to improving the lives of young people with learning disabilities, she works tirelessly and has influenced many areas of the service including policy and practice.
She helps young people and their parents to communicate more effectively about sexual health issues and growing up. Many parents may have had contact with Joe and we hope you will agree she is a star!
Joe richly deserved her Salford award and with your support you have helped her achieve national acclaim.
