Information for parents
Our vision will provide your children with educational facilities that are not only bang up to date but also look to the future. We want to create 21st century learning facilities.
We believe a 21st century school must have high standards of achievement, with each child fulfilling their own potential, motivated by inspiring buildings that are well designed and built to be suitable for at least the next 30 years. This means using more technology in the future, providing a wider curriculum which meets the needs of more children and meeting the special educational needs of pupils. Designs need to be flexible and adaptable for future changes and provide value for money.
The proposed new school would be scheduled to open in September 2010.
As members of your community, your whole family will also benefit from our proposals to provide a wider range of services from schools for all ages including educational, social and leisure facilities.
Where significant changes are proposed for any individual school, such as a change of size, there will be a further consultation process. This is a legal requirement and this consultation will not replace all the normal processes associated with major changes to schools. Information will be published on these webpages and in the Salford Advertiser.
