Task groups
Community committee meetings are the main forum for the community to discuss issues relevant to the area. In addition to these meetings, a number of task group meetings also take place on a regular basis. They bring together community representatives, officers, and councillors to discuss particular themes or issues in more detail. These groups report back to community committee.

Environment Task Group
The open spaces group meets regularly to discuss issues relating to local parks, litter, public space,waste and recycling. It helps to identify priorities, and actions regarding the environment which are incorporated in to the community action plan.
Devolved Highways Budget and Road Safety Group
This group meets to discuss transport, highways, and road safety issues. Members are elected from community committee. The group meets to discuss relevant issues, identify improvements, and make recommendations to community committee about how the devolved highways budget should be spent.
Children and Young Peoples Task Group
This group brings together council staff, and local voluntary groups working with children and young people. It looks at activities and facilities for children and young people and helps to coordinate activity.
Budget sub group
The budget sub group is elected from the community committee and makes recommendations about how the devolved budget should be spent.
The Cohesion Task Group
The cohesion task group looks to bring people together from different backgrounds to develop relationships, celebrate diversity and create awareness in the wider community.
