Waste Disposal Strategy

Salford is part of the Greater Manchester Waste Disposal Authority (GMWDA).

The primary role of the GMWDA is to make arrangements with contractor for the reception, treatment, recycling, recovery, transport and final disposal of municipal waste collected by the constituent councils.

To meet the environmental challenges of dealing with municipal waste the GMWDA have produced a Greater Manchester Waste Strategy.
