Information for school staff

The government’s Building Schools for the Future investment programme will help us to raise standards in schools. Salford is in wave 3 of this 15 wave national programme.

Schools represent the hopes and aspirations of many communities. BSF is bringing together investment in buildings and ICT with significant educational transformation.

For school staff this is a huge opportunity – contributing to the educational direction of your school for decades to come. We will be listening to you, pupils, parents and the community in thinking about an individual school, how it works and what everyone wants from it in the future.

New and improved facilities, suitable for modern educational delivery, will also support teachers.

There will be more detailed consultation with affected school staff in the future on building design, operational matters and any employment related issues.

If any significant changes are proposed for any individual school, such as opening or closing a school, there will be a further consultation process.
