Group prices

Instructor to participant ratio is 1:8 for our standard activities, bellboating can operate on a 1:10 basis. For climbing on our wall we can work on either a 1:8 ratio or a 2:12 ratio.

Groups are charged an hourly rate for each instructor that they hire. For watersports activities, you need to book at least 1.5 hours, as your booking time includes the time for getting briefed and changed into wetsuits. Prices vary for different types of groups. Our staff are experienced with working with a wide range of groups. Those that we regularly cater for at the centre include; youth groups, schools, uniformed organisations, corporate groups, birthday parties etc. Please contact the centre for specific group prices.

Multi activity sessions

Aimed at primary and secondary schools or youth groups, our multi activity package is available to all. Either bring a group for a one off session or come for a number of weeks, trying a different sport each time.

Sport specific

Aimed at older primary aged children, secondary schools or older youth groups. We can also cater for your sport specific requirements, smoothing the progress of safe, enjoyable, productive use of water and the outdoor environment, thus encouraging secure participation in constructive and adventurous activities. Book in for a series of consecutive sessions and aim towards gaining an NGB qualification at the end.

All of our sessions and courses are flexible to meet your needs and can be tailored to meet the requirements of the national curriculum key stage 2, 3 and 4 as well as the GCSE syllabus.

Orienteering in schools

Our six week orienteering programme is suitable for primary and secondary schools. Courses start in the classroom or school hall with basic map reading and orienteering skills. By the final week pupils should be confident in working on a full scale orienteering course that is set up around your school grounds. If you have not used this service before, you will require a map producing for your school grounds. We can advise on how to get this done:

  • One class, 1 hour for six weeks - £345
  • Two classes, 1 hour for six weeks - £570
  • Mapping of grounds - please contact us for further information

Group leader information and behaviour policy

We want to ensure that your sessions run as smoothly as possible and to ensure that everyone gets as much enjoyment from the activities as possible. To do this, we have introduced a 'group leader' information sheet and a 'behaviour policy'. Please ensure that the leader that brings the group is familiar with this, and that the participants are aware of what is expected from them. These are available to download below.
