MIPIM, which stands for Le Marché International des Professionnels de L'immobilier in French or The International Market for Real Estate Professionals. The event which attracts 20,000 delegates representing 90 countries is widely recognised internationally as a key property and investment event.

With a goal of sharing the city’s latest signature schemes for the future, promoting the city, highlighting opportunities and creating connections with investors, the conference proved to be a huge success for the team.

The Salford City Council team included, Deputy City Mayor and Lead Member for Housing, Property and Regeneration, Councillor Tracy Kelly, Chief Executive Tom Stannard, Executive Director of Place John Searle, and Head of Partnerships and Investment Sarah Ashurst, who attended the event to:

  • Position Salford as a city with ambition on an international stage
  • Highlight existing and introduce new development opportunities in Salford
  • Develop connections with existing city partners
  • Create new relationships with property partners to ensure Salford is at the forefront of developers thinking

Once again we partnered with Place North West to help us further raise awareness of the positive opportunities in the city. Ahead of the exhibition, Tom Stannard gave his views on the current regen landscape and the importance of MIPIM.

At MIPIM we also partnered with Marketing Manchester and were part of the Manchester stand, positioning Salford within the wider Manchester region offer.
