How do I apply for the Salford Discretionary Support Scheme?

To apply for immediate emergency assistance, a resettlement grant or council tax support, you must complete an application form which is available to download from the bottom of this page.

Completed applications should be emailed to or given to the customer service team at one of the Gateway centres, Irlam Library or Broughton Hub. Gateway centres are located in Eccles, Pendleton, Swinton and Walkden.

It is important when submitting an application form for any of the schemes that you also include:

  • Proof of identity
  • A recent bank statement (from the last four to six weeks)
  • A copy of an entitlement to benefits letter
