Ratepayers can choose to pay annual bills over 12 monthly instalments instead of 10. If you would like to take up this option you need to let us know before the 1 April. If you let us know after this date, providing your account is not subject to recovery action your instalments can be spread over the remaining months in the financial year.
Many of our customers find that the most convenient and reliable way to pay their bill is by monthly direct debit. Once set up with your bank, payments are collected automatically on the due dates. Also, if you decide to pay by this method, your payments are covered by the direct debit guarantee. You can do this online or by completing and returning the direct debit instruction, available to download from the bottom of this page.
Salford City Council operates a secure online payments service where you can pay your business rates account online using debit or credit cards. You will need to quote your business rates account number (an eight figure number starting with 6) to access the service.
If you prefer, you can use our automated telephone payment service on 0161 793 3325 which is available 24 hours a day.
