Course description:

An opportunity for leaders and managers to look at current good practice for tracking children’s progress through EYFS and how to use this information to best inform your practice and feed into your setting improvement and SEF. Clarification of the role of leaders and managers in overseeing tracking to ensure that judgements made are robust, secure and used to impact on planning.

Outcomes:

• In-depth understanding of the purpose of tracking and current good practice for leadership teams, regardless of which tracking system you currently use.
• Understanding of how tracking children’s progress can impact on ongoing setting improvement and inform your SEF and how tracking is viewed by Ofsted.
• Understanding of the different ways that different cohorts of children can be tracked and how best to use this information
