St Peter’s Parish Church, Swinton, has been designated by the Bishop for acts of condolence and prayer.

A commemorative church service of memorial and thanksgiving will be held at 7pm on Sunday 18 September, the day before the funeral. The service will include the National Moment of Reflection which will be marked by a one-minute silence at 8pm to mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and reflect on her life and legacy.

The service will be led by Father Sheehy and will see invited guests and faith leaders from across the city commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
