There are lots of sports teams and projects, look out for activities put on by SAYO and SPARKY. The SPARKY (Sports, Parks, Arts, Recreation, Kids and Youth) project is based at the Clarendon Leisure Centre. The SAYO (Sport, Art, Youth in Ordsall) project operates from the Ordsall Leisure Centre.
During term time the activities for young people aged 8 - 16 years include swimming, fishing, football, netball, computer club, arts and dance. During school holiday periods the team offer a wide and varied programme of activities within the above centres and in the local parks. Occasional off-site trips are planned to venues including watersports bowling, ice-skating and rock climbing.
