Due to the government lockdown we have reduced the dog warden service to ‘Found’ dogs only. This means we will still collect a stray dog from a member of the public whilst demonstrating social distancing. We would encourage lead walks for your dogs to minimise the risk of them becoming lost. As always, we will do everything we can to reunite any lost dogs with their owners.
Held at Clifton Country Park, Clifton (M27 6NG) on Sunday 28 July 2019, 10.30am to 4pm you are invited to come along and get involved in our dog themed festival.
Now in our fifth year we are looking to help raise funds for Manchester and Cheshire Dogs’ Home, as well as promoting responsible dog ownership and coming together to share our love of dogs.
This year we are joined again by the PDSA who are providing free dog health checks, chipping and nail clipping and Salford Health Improvement team who will do free human health checks. The festival also includes stalls selling a range of doggy delights, promoting rescues as well as one or two human treats including homemade cakes.
For our younger two legged friends there is also face painting, bouncy castles and guess the breed.
For our four legged friends there will be a dog show, agility course and temptation alley.
The festival kicks off at 10.30am with the dog show starting at 11am opened by the Lower Kersal Morris Troupe.
The dog show consists of the following categories costing £1 to enter each category. The categories are:
The winners from each category will then be entered in to the best in show.
Checkout some of the highlights from last year’s festival. A huge thank you to everyone that attended last year’s event and made it such an amazing day. Thanks for all the support and we hope to see you again this year.
