Carers Week - 8 to 14 June

Making caring visible. Working together to support carers. 8 to 14 June 2020.

This national initiative celebrates the vital role carers play across communities throughout the UK. Organised by charities; Age UK, Carers Trust, Carers UK, MND Association, Oxfam and Rethink Mental Illness, and  its aim is Making Caring Visible.

We’re supporting this special week as we understand how important carers, both old and young are to the city. It’s a key time to raise awareness about what caring is, what it means, who carers are and how they can get support, help and advice.

2020, has so far been a challenging year in many ways for lots of people across Salford and for carers in particular, this period of lockdown has made their roles even more difficult. Throughout the week we’ll be sharing information about this important subject to help increase that awareness and understanding of caring as well as signposting resources to those carers who may need support.
