Here you can find information and advice on what support is available to you as a carer and for who you look after.

Gaddum Salford Carers Service

The team at Gaddum Salford Carers Centre are available to help. If you want to speak to one of their carers support workers, call them on 0161 834 6069 or email them at salford.carers@gaddum.org.uk

Carers UK have a community online forum that is open to all members. Membership is free. It is a great resource for working carers across all four nations so carers can get peer support from each other.

Learning for Living website - e-learning helping carers recognise invaluable skills gained through caring, applying those skills in relevant environments such as paid work or volunteering.

Young Carers

Young carers are children or young people under the age of 18 who are supporting another person with a long term condition and/or disability.

You can find out about Young Carers services provided by Salford Carers Service by calling 0161 834 6069.

Kooth

Kooth is an online counselling and emotional wellbeing platform for children and young people. Kooth is for young people aged 11 to 18 and offers a variety of resources. Sign up to use Kooth.

Emotional Health

The Emotional Health directory of services provides access to useful websites, information and services that are available to support children and young people's emotional health and well-being, covering a range of issues such as anxiety, bullying and so on.

SilverCloud

SilverCloud offers online programmes for adults (aged 16 and over) to help ease your levels of stress, sleep better or to build resilience.

Carers of people with dementia

Empowered Conversations, a support service for carers of people with dementia.

Protecting carers wellbeing

Carers UK have designed some tips to help both you and those you care for look after yourselves and protect your wellbeing to help you keep calm and well, including some ideas to create your own wellbeing action plan.
