Salford Carers Centre provides advice, information and support for carers, including young carers and young adult carers aged 18 to 24. The centre works with health and social care professionals from GP surgeries, community health services, Salford Royal Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester West Mental Health Foundation Trust and voluntary and community organisations to encourage them to identify and refer carers to the centre. The carers centre also produces regular newsletters and administers carer's personal budgets.

Crossroads provide practical and emotional support to carers by providing trained carers' support workers who take over the care needs for the card-for person so that the carer can take a break. There are also alternative providers that offer a similar service.

The Fed offers a range of support services to carers in the Jewish community. Its carers' advice workers carry out carers' assessments. Support includes help and advice in accessing carers' personal budgets, grants and benefits, and providing educational and social opportunities for carers.
