Did you know that Salford City Council has five nurseries across the city, that are great places to work and are all rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted? Our nurseries are in Eccles, Little Hulton, Broughton, Winton and Pendleton.

There is now an exciting opportunity to be a part of this fantastic team, whilst being supported in gaining a recognised qualification through an apprenticeship in Early Years Education and Paediatric First Aid.

This could be the perfect role for you if you:

  • Have a passion to work with children
  • Would be proud to build a career in early year’s education
  • Recognise the reward in helping children achieve their potential
  • Can be part of a positive environment that will shape a bright future

Our Early Years Educators work in nurseries across Salford and provide 0 to 5's with the care, kindness and understanding that will play an important part in the development of the cities children.

As part of a team you will work with colleagues and managers to provide high quality care, whilst using your skills in communication, to ensure consistent support for the children that attend the nursery.

As part of the apprenticeship you will be required to hold a level 2 qualification in Maths and English, or be able to work towards this alongside the Early Years Education apprenticeship.

You will be welcomed into a friendly environment where your personal and professional development will be encouraged and you will have the opportunity to work and grow in a values based organisation where people are at the heart of everything we do. We promote a positive permission culture, empowering you to make a difference. Your opinions matter to us and you will have the opportunity to shape how we do things through our Salford 100 employee group and our employee led redesign approach. Your work-life balance and wellbeing are important to us so you will have access to a range of benefits including flexible working, green travel, pension and salary sacrifice schemes. In addition to this we offer a range of health and wellbeing options to suit your needs.

If this sounds like an opportunity that you would be passionate about getting involved with, then we welcome your application.
