The business will provide a healthier alternative to the majority of fast food establishments in the area. Our food will predominantly be made up of grilled gourmet burgers sourced from local produce. However, we will also offer milkshakes, slushes and some fried chicken wings. Our menu will remain the same through out all trading hours, there will be no serving of any alcoholic beverages whatsoever on the premises during any of our opening hours.
|The prevention of crime and disorder||
In order to prevent crime and disorder at the premises we have installed two CCTV cameras on the external front of the premises, which will cover any vehicle or passer-bys. Internally there will be CCTV in the main room which will be positioned above the till and will capture anyone entering the premises in full sight. There is also another camera in the back room which we will use for food prep. This camera is situated in the corner so will capture any movement internally and through the rear window in that room (as per the attached schematic) in the event anyone were to attempt to break into the property from the rear. The rear of the premises has also been fitted with two cameras angled in such a manner that anyone approaching from the rear will also be captured on CCTV. There is a roller shutter to the front and iron bars over the rear external windows on the ground floor.
There will be warning signs of CCTV being in operation both externally and internally once the premises is open in order to deter any anti-social behaviour, Any individual that acts in an offensive manner or displays characteristics that could be classified as damaging or threatening will immediately be reported to the police and any CCTV of any incident will be readily made available for the local authorities to aid in their investigations.
Regarding cash kept on the premises, we will endeavour to offer card payment as an alternative to reduce the possibility of theft. Any cash kept in the business will be of little monetary value and will predominately be used to provide change to potential clients in the event cash is being used as the preferred method of payment.
However, management will ensure that little to no cash is left at the premises overnight and in the event of high levels of daily turnover management will aim to remove the larger denomination of notes from the premises at regular intervals to also reduce the amount of cash kept at the business during trading hours.
Public safety is a large concern for the business, not only will CCTV be included on the premises, but any anti-social behaviour will be immediately reported to the appropriate authorities.
The management will also ensure that the staff are trained to recognise potential dangerous activity and to report it accordingly to the police in the event that any member of the public is put at risk or in the event that staff suspect that there is a potential of harm to any individual.
We will have a resolute policy that any individual that has the potential to harm any member of the public will be reported post haste and any recordings or CCTV and eye witness testimony will immediately be made available to the police.
I want to personally ensure the local authority that the ethos my business will have is that the primary concern to ourselves will be the safety of not only our customers, but as well as any individual that we can prevent harm coming to whilst working in conjunction to the laws put in place by the appropriate bodies.
|The prevention of public nuisance||
Warning of CCTV being present inside and externally will be on display, signage stating any potential individuals displaying anti-social behaviour or acting in a manner thought to be deemed as a public nuisance will immediately be reported to the local police. CCTV footage and eye witness testimony will be provided by management and members of staff accordingly.
|The protection of children from harm||
The premises will not host any activities that could potentially cause harm to children, there will be no alcohol served on the premises, no gambling, gaming equipment such as no slots machines will be present on the premises.
We have deemed it is in the best interest of children and members of the public to not serve any alcohol on the premises in order to further deter potential individuals from carrying out any possible crimes. This will also reduce the possibility of any potential incident occurring due to the attributing factor of our business not serving alcohol in general.
