Chorley Road temporary footpath closure

Salford City Council made the Salford City Council (Chorley Road, Salford) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2021 under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order will temporarily close the following footpath on: from the southern corner of the north side of Chorley Road at the junction with Station Road and then for a distance of approximately 80 meters in a northerly direction. Pedestrians will be diverted south west crossing the A6 Chorley Road then south east crossing.

Partington Lane then north east crossing the A6 Chorley Road and proceed north. The order is due to come into operation on the 16 April 2021 and will last for a period of six weeks. The Order is required for essential works to be completed. A copy of the proposed Orders and plans of the area may be examined at Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 5DA, 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday (due to the COVID-19 restrictions, please ensure that the Civic Centre is open before attending). Alternatively, copies of the documentation may be viewed at Unity House, Swinton, Manchester M27 5FJ. The plan will be displayed to the left of the main (and only public) entrance to the building, adjacent to the public car park at the Civic Centre.
