Notice of confirmation of definitive map modification order

The definitive map and statement of public rights of way for Salford 

City of Salford (Haddon Road area, Worsley) (Definitive Map and Statement Modification) Order (No.1) 2019

On 7 January 2022 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above-named Order without modifications.  The Order took effect on confirmation. The effect of the Order is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for Salford by adding to them the following footpath:

Definitive Map Footpath No. 156 Worsley (A to B)

  • Footpath - Commencing on the west side of Haddon Road (Point A, Grid Ref: 376417 400568) and continuing in a generally north westerly direction, adjacent to the boundary of no.2 Haddon Road, for a distance of approximately 49.5 metres to its junction with Chatsworth Road (Point B, Grid Ref: 376377 400583).
  • The width of the footpath varies along its length between 1.8 metres and 15 metres.
  • At Point A1 the width is 15 metres; the width reduces over the following 12.2 metres (approximately) to 1.8 metres at Point A2; between Point A2 and Point A3 the width is 1.8 metres; from Point A3 the width increases to 8 metres at Point A4.

A copy of the confirmed Order and the Order map may be seen free of charge at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm; and Worsley Village Library, Worsley Road, Worsley Monday to Tuesday 10am to 5pm, Thursday 2pm to 5pm, Friday 10am to 1pm and Saturday 11am to 1pm. Copies of the confirmed Order and map may be obtained at those offices.

If any person aggrieved by the confirmed Order desires to question its validity on the ground that it is not within the power of section 53 of the above-named Act or that any requirement of Schedule 15 to the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he may within 42 days from the date of publication of this Notice make an application to the High Court under Schedule 15(12) to the Act.
