Various footpaths in Eccles temporary footpath closure

Salford City Council made the City of Salford (Various Footpaths Eccles) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2021 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The order will temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding in the following footpaths:

  • Non definitive footpath, Colliery Line, Eccles
  • Non definitive footpath, Folly Way, Eccles
  • Non definitive footpath, Chatsworth Loop, Eccles
  • Non definitive footpath, Mathieson Way, Eccles

The council is upgrading all footpaths to include cycle routes as part of the Salford City Council Swinton Greenway Project. Pedestrian diversions will be signed via the local residential streets between the closures.

The order is due to come into operation on 10 January 2022 and will last for three months.

Notices will also be displayed at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
