Trafford Road resurfacing work

Resurfacing work on part of Trafford Road will take place between Monday 16 May and Wednesday 1 June as one of Salford’s biggest schemes moves another step closer to completion.

Every junction along the route is being improved to boost the capacity of the road for all users and better facilities for pedestrians and cyclists are being introduced to encourage more green travel.

Phase one involves the section from Trafford Road bridge to The Quays junction on both sides of the road. Most of the work will be done using overnight closures during the week, avoiding match days and other major events to minimise disruption. Full details are below.

Tram services will not be affected but buses will be diverted. Please visit Transport for Greater Manchester for details.

Diversions for drivers will be signposted via the A56 and Regent Road.

Contractors Sisk produce a newsletter which people can sign up to. Please email traffordroadcomms@salford.gov.uk to be added to the list.
