Council buildings

Although restrictions across England have now lifted, we’re not changing our guidelines on face coverings, washing hands, ventilation and we’re in addition taking steps not to overcrowd spaces to keep people safe. Numbers at our venues will be limited to seating so as not to overcrowd spaces. For example, crematoriums and Register Office ceremony room – please respect colleagues and members of the public who want to keep a distance.

Guidance if you are visiting a council building

  • We’re pleased to welcome you back safely and initially some of our venues will only increase capacity to those we can safely seat without overcrowding and in spaces that can be properly ventilated
  • We’re continuing with many safety measures in buildings while case rates are high and vaccination rates still to increase
  • We ask customers to wear face coverings and keep up hand hygiene, using available hand sanitisers regularly
  • We will keep under review and ease restrictions further when it is safe to do so

Salford libraries have reopened. For more information about the measures in place go to the Salford Community Leisure library section.

In addition our services are available online and many questions can be dealt with on our social media pages, Facebook and Twitter.
