Regeneration

Salford has experienced rapid development and economic growth in recent years; it is home to a vibrant economy that is leading growth in Greater Manchester and its population has grown at a rate that nowhere else in the north of England can match.

The growth the city has seen in a relatively short period of time has been remarkable and is a result of strong leadership and partnership working to create an exciting future as a thriving cultural, economic, and residential location.

From major developments to city parks, revitalised waterways and green spaces, Salford is being rebuilt and now more people than ever before are choosing it as a place to live, work, invest and visit. It is also investing in its transport infrastructure, both to improve connectivity and to support the sustainable growth of the city.

Salford is committed to build upon this success, developing sustainable growth in the city to meet the growing needs of residents and businesses through an inclusive economy ‘The Salford Way’.
